What Is Constant Static?
Constant Static is a collective of Music Production, Photography and Videography founded by E Comte in 2022 in Dayton, OH. Constant Static is completely self-taught in all fields and heavily inspired by other musicians, photographers and videographers from around the area. We are who we are because of the love & passion of the community around us, and we're always learning and improving our craft and how we can serve.
About The Founder, E Comte
E Comte grew up in Xenia, OH (X-Town!) and has been playing music since the age of 7, ranging instruments from Violin and Piano to Guitar, Drums and Vocals and has been writing original music since about the age of 15. E primarily worked as a lead vocalist and guitarist for original bands in high school and church, and began producing his own music as he entered college. While attending Wright State University for Computer Science, E travelled for multiple years with a 70's/80's Hair Metal band playing Lead Guitar and Bass for a period of time as well as audio and lighting production for the group. E wrote and produced his full-length debut album, High School and released it in 2021; you can check it out in the "Music Production" page. In 2022, E began taking and editing photos/videos, specializing in concerts and music videos. After playing in bands for a decade, E has taken the inspiration of photographers that have worked with his shows and morphed all of that into what is now called Constant Static.
Where Does The Name "Constant Static" Come From?
Since E began diving into the photo/video world, he was torn trying to decide what brand name to put his work under to differentiate from his music. Instead of differentiating, he decided "Why not just blend all of them together?" So, in joining the 3 loves of Music, Photo and Video, E derived Constant Static from his 4th love: Computer Programming. E graduated with a degree in Computer Science in 2019 and has had 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer. "Constant Static" derives from a programming term, "static const". Without getting too in depth, "static const" describes a variable with global scope that remains unchanged.
Our Specialties
Photography: Concerts & Live Music. Constant Static has primarily been shooting concerts since starting up and have had a lot of positive feedback from our customers. You can see examples of our work under the Photos tab.
Music Production: Rock & Roll is our genre of choice. We've done numerous genres and are flexible to whatever the need may be. We're particularly proud of Drum and Guitar mixes having spent countless hours experimenting and tweaking; you can check out examples of that in the Music Production tab.
Videography: Cinema-style concert videos are the go-to right now for us. We've also done a lot of small-studio shots of instrumental play-throughs for musician's media presence.
